Support
How can we help?
NiceDays is an independently crafted utility. If you experience an issue, have feedback, or want to suggest a feature, an email is the quickest way to get in touch.
Frequently asked questions
How do I cancel a NiceDays Pro subscription?
Subscriptions are managed by Apple, not inside NiceDays. Open iOS Settings, tap your name at the top, then Subscriptions, and select NiceDays. Cancelling stops the next renewal; Pro features stay available until the end of the period you have already paid for.
I bought Pro before, but a new device shows it as locked.
Open the Pro page in NiceDays and tap Restore Purchase. Make sure the device is signed in to the same Apple Account used for the original purchase — purchases are tied to that account, not to a device, and we hold no purchase records of our own.
How do I request a refund?
Refunds are handled entirely by Apple. Go to reportaproblem.apple.com, sign in with your Apple Account, and select the purchase. We never process payments and cannot issue refunds ourselves.
My reminder notification did not appear.
Please ensure notifications are enabled for NiceDays in iOS Settings › Notifications, and that an active Focus mode is not silencing alerts. Reminders are local notifications scheduled by iOS and dispatched according to system status.
My widget is displaying outdated countdown numbers.
Widget timelines are managed and refreshed by iOS. Changes may take a short moment to reflect. Opening the NiceDays app triggers an immediate widget reload. If an issue persists, removing and re-adding the widget to your Home Screen will reset its state.
How do I transfer my countdowns to a new device?
Sign in to the same Apple Account on your new device and ensure NiceDays is enabled under iCloud in iOS Settings. Your events will automatically synchronize via CloudKit. Alternatively, open Settings › Import & Export › Export Backup on your old device, and use Import Backup on the new device to restore data safely without overwriting existing entries.
How does lunar calendar calculation work?
NiceDays leverages the native Chinese calendar system built into iOS, including full leap month support. For recurring lunar events, the engine automatically calculates the next true occurrence of that lunar month and day.
My Apple Watch displays English while my iPhone is set to Chinese.
The watch application follows the watch's independent system language. You can adjust this on your iPhone in the Apple Watch companion app under General › Language & Region.
Why does the background image appear slightly soft in small widgets?
WidgetKit enforces strict memory constraints on widget rendering, so images are automatically downsampled to fit widget dimensions. This is standard system behavior designed to preserve battery and performance.
Can I create or edit events directly on Apple Watch?
The Apple Watch companion app and watch face complications are designed as read-only companions for quick glanceable viewing. All event creation and editing is managed on iPhone.
